So Nice to SEA you again! A Camayan Beach Resort Escapade 2022
Updated: Mar 23, 2022
It is The Summer Season and all are excited to go have fun at the beach after the long wait. With Level 1 Restriction in NCR, I feel that Filipinos are having a needed "breath of fresh air" from the past 2 challenging and crazy pandemic years. With that being said, what was your first travel destination this March 2022? Hope you may want to also share to our co-travelgoalers your first summer experience in 2022 in the Comment Section✍🏼
As for me and my sister for our first "gala" this summer 2022, we chose to take the road trip #joyride. My siz wanted to go for a long drive outside the metro and just have fun at the beach--indeed a much needed out-of-town 'road trip' and a much needed 'beach getaway'🏝
Now, let's skip to the good part...hello Camayan Beach Resort at Subic!☀️
Road Trip Directions🚙
Coming from SM North, it will take around 2hrs and 30mins to reach Camayan Beach Resort and Hotel via NLEX. The resort is located at Camayan Wharf, West Ilanin Subic Bay and is situated near Ocean Adventure.
There is no "driving direction" details on their official website so I inquired via email from the reservation specialist who booked our room and I was told to just use Waze-lol (In Filipino-"nganaman, malaki ka na gurl, kaya mo na yan, push!)😅Oh well, a good advice right? No worries, I can just researched on my own and I'm good at it.
But overall, I am still thankful to the reservation specialist who assisted us in booking our room :)
Maybe I am just used to hotels/resorts Websites in which driving directions are specified and detailed. But I clearly understand, different websites=different focus.
From SM North, we drove all the way through NLEX and took the exit toward SCTEX/Clark Airport. Upon reaching the fork, we did keep left and go straight following signs for "Clark South Airport/Porac/Floridablanca/Dinalupihan". Drove straight all the way to the exit until we reached Rizal Hwy, Maritan Hwy onto Argonaut Hwy.
Upon reaching Argonaut Hwy and saw MCDO (landmark on google map) on the right side, we Turned Left on the next road to stay at Argonaut Hwy, then drove thru Corregidor Rd then to Ilanin Rd. From Ilanin Rd, there are directions going to Camayan Wharf Rd or Ocean Adventure. We also saw direction to "Kamana Sanctuary Spa Resort" on our right side, but we Go straight until we see signs going to the entrance of Camayan.
Check-In ☑️
We arrived at around 2:30pm and the resort has a huge open space parking. We got excited as we liked the vibe upon entrance. Their location is not in the usual subic area where most of the resorts are located and where some beaches are not swimmable. I have been to Whiterock Beach Resort Hotel and Waterpark twice, Inflatable Island and Grand Seas Subic. Camayan Beach Resort is not on this known area but is located on the other side. Maybe that's why they have a more clean beach shore?
They just checked our bags and the booking details before entering the resort. Upon check-in, wearing of face mask is still mandatory in the lobby/front desk and in the restaurant. We visited March 11 to 13, 2022 and Subic was under Level 1 at that time.

Rooms 🏖
They have Superior Room, Deluxe Room and a Suite. We booked the Deluxe Room for 3days/2nights and the rate is around 5k-7k per night (rate is good for 2 with breakfast included). The room is for maximum capacity of 5 people-with extra charge per person starting on 3rd Adult. Room rate is different during weekdays, weekends and holidays.
We liked the Deluxe Room as it looks so cozy. Thumbs up to the big space and the 2 queen sized beds. Thumbs up as well to their 'big spaced private veranda' overlooking the pool and the beach. Images of the room below but will release a youtube video very soon for the Camayan Beach Resort Vlog.

Restaurant 🍽
Food and Drinks are important aside from the Beach, in having a blast on a beach vacation. Camayan has their 'The Reef Restaurant' and the 'Sand Bar'. Starting with good points, overall, their food is good.
For our first meal after check-in, we ordered Calamares, Fish Fillet and 2 drinks from the bar. One meal serving is good for 2-3 persons so we had some leftovers😔. Calamares and Fish Fillet taste good and the drinks are also served in big glass. For Dinner, the must-ordered "sabaw" should be in the menu and so we enjoyed their 'Sinigang na Baboy'.
Soup, 2 main viands, pansit, fruits, cereals, cute breads and jams, 2 kinds of juice and my favorite part-brewed coffee for the Breakfast Buffet Menu.

Second Day, we had Sisig, Grilled Fish and Mango Fresh Fruit Shake for Lunch. I was always excited to try sizzling sisig. The fish was good but I am "Sad" with their Sisig. I didn't like the sauce mixed to it and for me it was served "not sizzling" anymore. Felt like I was eating teriyaki or sweet bbq sauce because of its very sweet taste. Needed a light meal and just munched on their version of clubhouse sandwich and buffalo chicken wings for dinner.

Our total restaurant bill for the food and few drinks for 2 persons for 4 main meals is P3,594.98. That makes P449/person/meal which I think is still a reasonable price. The food serving is reasonable for its price (good for 2-3) but for the drinks from the bar, as expected, since there are no other bars or restaurants nearby the resort, price can be a bit expensive. Expect a P100 least price (for soda in can) and cocktails and alcoholic drinks from start prize of P250.
But as I have said, overall, food is great and we still enjoyed their drinks. However, if you are a heavy drinker, you also may need to be ready to splurge. Cheers!🍻
Beach and Activities 🌊
Save the best for last : About the Beach, me and Ate(siz) both agreed that the beach here in Camayan are so far the best and the cleanest compared to all the subic beach resorts we've visited. Best time to swim and the time the water is at its cleanest is between 9am-2pm during the high tide. Amazed because we can clearly see the seabed. We also saw different kinds of fishes from nemo-sized to the bigger ones to the point that we do not want to bother them while they were freely swimming and jumping over the waters. At around 3pm onwards, the waters can become a little brown and opaque.
Snorkeling, Kayaking and Fish Feeding are the common activities during our time of visit. 💡I suggest you may want to bring your own snorkeling gear if you are up for a marvelous meet-and-greet with wide range fish species to save some money.
